Where to Stay

The Facultad de Filosofía y Letras of the Universidad de Buenos Aires is located at Puan 480 / José Bonifacio 1339 (they are two buildings, one around the corner from the other) in the Caballito neighborhood.

It is a residential and safe area with a good selection of restaurants and cafés, although with limited hotel availability.

If you are looking for accommodation in the area, you may find options through Airbnb or similar platforms.

For those who prefer hotels, hostels, or other types of lodging, we recommend staying in neighborhoods well connected by the subway (SUBTE):

Downtown (Microcentro, Congreso, Monserrat, San Telmo, Balvanera): Offers a wide range of hotels and direct access to Subway Line A, whose Puan station is the closest to the Facultad (5 blocks)

Recoleta: A neighborhood with many hotels and a strong gastronomic offer. It is connected by Line H, which requires a transfer to Line A at Once station.

Transportation

Subway: you can pay with contactless credit cards and with NFC-enabled cell phones (no cash).

Buses: you need a SUBE card. However, on some bus lines you can pay with contactless credit cards and with NFC-enabled cell phones

Taxis and ride-hailing apps: you can use Uber or Cabify, or simply take a taxi on the street (they are safe, but you will need cash).

Transportation from the airport

From Ezeiza International Airport (Ministro Pistarini – EZE)

Located about 30–35 km from downtown Buenos Aires (approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic).

Recommended options:

Taxi or private car: Can be safely hired from the arrivals hall. Companies such as Taxi Ezeiza, Manuel Tienda León, Cabify, or Uber are available.

  ⏱ Estimated travel time: 45–75 minutes.

Manuel Tienda León Shuttle:  Shared vans or private cars to downtown (Madero Terminal or directly to your address).

From Jorge Newbery Airport (AEP)

Located within the city, 5–10 km from downtown.

Recommended options:

Taxi or ride-hailing apps (Cabify / Uber): Official taxis are available at the airport exit. Ride-hailing apps can also be used.

Avoid taking unofficial taxis at Ezeiza. Always hire the service inside the airport or through apps.
